Eager to develop his fishing career, Garrett picked up a passion for inshore fishing, catching stripers (or rockfish) while sharpening his skills with planer boards. His obsession grew from there and he began working with his uncle, a commercial striped bass fisherman in Massachusetts, who taught him a multitude of alternate fishing techniques.
Now, Captain Garrett, a father of two, has abandoned the thrill of New York City and is determined to preserve his history and amazing memories on the water by raising his own family here in New Jersey on the Navesink River.
